My tundra is a workhorse with almost 140,000 on it. No rust issues other than light surface rust starting on the frame. I'm on my 9th Toyota and that's all I buy, I do like super dutys for plowing/dump truck work though but that's about it. I'm interested to see the new aluminum super dutys in person though.

At $70,000 they can keep it. The top trim models (which is what I was looking for) were almost half of the price I bought my house for. You can buy an Aston Martin for the cost of the damn F150. Stupid!!! Don't get me wrong, by the time I was done with my truck I paid stupid money but certainly not $70K

My dad has had grwat luck with tacomas. His first had the frame rust out and after 5 years of driving it toyota bought it back for $2,000 more than he paid for it used. He bought a newer tacoma. The frame on ot also rusted out. Toyota recalled and replaced the frame...the bill wouldve been 10000 bit they did it for free. In my experience toyotas have been very reliable and the company takes responsibility for their defects as listed above. Id get a tundra of I were a truck guy.

All trucks have there "thing" there known for its just a matter of if you want to spend Little $ often or big $ onece or twice in the life of the truck this coming from a guy that has worked out of a garage for as long as I can remember and if I could Ied rip them all apart and build one And though recall work is covered in all aspects most manufactures don't do this willingley IMO all this being said if I was to go buy brand new for a light duty truck I would go with the new Ram Eco Desial

I'm on my 2nd tundra. I had a 2005 f250. After 4 years I gave it up after it broke down on me 3 times! The rear doors were rusted shut. Mine you I like car/truck washes. Before kids I did a ground up build on a 1990 Nissan 240x. That car was a beast!
