Ok I've been trying to catch it with a trap that speedyron has lent me for a month. Tried net catching it (fat chance in that happening). Ok I've had several people suggest a barbless hook. What would I use for bait. He's really pissing me off. PLEASE HELP! I don't wanna do my order until he's gone!!!!!

suck it up and start ripping rock part it is a pain but in the end you will spend less time and aggravation than hooks traps and such I have a piece of plexy cut to slide down in the tank on one side or the other than start transferring rock to the other side until I can catch the fish

Ya I know, but everything is doing so awesome right now, I don't want to disturb it. But you're probably right, that's the only way I'm gonna get him out!

Use a section of plexiglass and cut off 3/4 of the tank. Then create a tunnel and corral him through into a net. Ryan taught me this and it works every time.

Use a section of plexiglass and cut off 3/4 of the tank. Then create a tunnel and corral him through into a net. Ryan taught me this and it works every time. the only problem with that is the way my tank is set up. A majority of people have their tank set up from the back forward. My tank is set up kinda like Greg's, visible from both sides, so there is no back. All rock is built up on the sides. And of course his territory is based toward the bottom of the left side. I'm probably just gonna break down on Wednesday and take a piece of plexi (as suggested) block off his end and piece by piece remove rock and corals til I can get him

I'd remove that rock with the hairy shroom and colt coral and it looks like you could at least cut your tank in half?

In the past I usually have kept a large seashell (conch or other) in my tanks. A shell with a large opening is just too inviting for many fish to hide in, especially when they are being chased around. Oncethe fish hides in the shell, put your net over the opening and lift everything out. Worked great for me with a few hard to catch fish. Plus, a shell with coral growing all over it looks really cool.

When i caught him I put the net in the tank fed and snuck up behind him.

Nothong has worked up until now, I finally got him! No trap, no nets, no dividers. Unfortunately I had to tear the tank apart piece by piece, but he's gone. Now I can feel more at ease putting other fish in.

So am I crazy that I want to add a small group of azure damsels with my upcoming order. These are my favorite fish. My last one was 8 years old and was very passive

My last one was 8 years old and was very passive Just a little...lol if I remember correctly these damsels are more prone to be aggressive towards each other though correct? Keeping a group may help with aggression as well.
