Last Wednesday, I had some issues. To make a long story short PVC separated and sprayed water all over my power supply causing stray current into my sump, didn't feel it in the main tank though. At some point during all of this my cleaner shrimp shed. The next day, not only it but my 2 emerald crabs and blue tux urchin disappeared and haven't been seen since. Fish seem unharmed by the ordeal. Will stray current kill inverts like that. The shrimp I could write off as a very expensive snack but the others are what I can't figure out. Anyone have any ideas?

Oh. All snails and hermits seem unfazed also

As far as I know stray current can't hurt anything in the tank unless something or someone completes the circuit. This is why people actually advise against titanium grounding probes. How did your power supply getting wet allow stray voltage into your sump? Also if its in your sump it's in your tank.

So now my dottyback is missing. The urchins back, but no emeralds. Found out pump impeller for protein skimmer was trashed and housing is leaking were the pump connects. Not sure if this may have something to do with it.

Also keep hearing load pops, but that may just be snails and/or hermits tapping the glass (hopefully).

I do hear my hermits and snails falling sometimes but it's normally not that loud. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

I don't know how I would have. The only things that are new are the dottyback and frags I got at the swap.

I have seen people get really small mantis baby's in small frags though. I'm no expert on mantis though because I've never had one. Sent from my SM-N910R4 using proboards

Oh and as to the stray current there was probably many factors; ground probe, possibly one of the heaters cracked, or just my own stupidity (man electrocution really sucks)!

Ya a few times (the hard way) until my wife called me an idiot and told me to shut the circuit breaker off. Had really bad shakes and an occasional twitch for the rest of the night.

I think I used every curse word known that day and probably made up a few of my own!
