Skip the grounding probe.............they are probably the biggest waste of money in the hobby.

Very hard to see anything from the video. Sps look pretty good to me though, I did see the clam wasn't open all the way but clams are finicky. I'm not positive on the cause but as far as things being pale I'd say it's just because your waters cloudy and that's making them get less light then normal. I'd still say maybe you should try to let your nitrates get up a little. Even Sps like a little nitrate. I had a bunch of problems awhile back because my water was to clean. It's a very difficult battle to maintain a low nutrients system without being to low.

The video makes it hard to see what is going on; the sps are all pale, even the frag I got from you lost its yellow tips and is just a drab uniform pale color. My nutrients are very low so I'm still uncertain as to why the bacteria bloom... I've had the skimmer off for about 36 hours, it looks like the tank may have a slight cloudiness to it but it's really hard to tell. All the fish are doing well. I also cleaned the front glass today, I did notice a little algae film formed on parts of it, I've been feeding even heavier over the past couple of days to try to get my nutrients up in hope the sps colors return.

Not the skimmer, sorry, the UV has been off .
I'm definitely seeing a return to cloudy water, it's very faint but it is there. I'm going to keep the UV off for a while and see what happens.

Bloom seems to look a little stronger than it did last night; however, my lights are still off and I can't be 100% certain. Since my bloom is returning I'm faced with the issue that I have excessive nutrients in a system that tests very low in nutrients. I would assume any nutrients that may have ended up in the tank due to the whiskey barrel are gone by now, I'm looking at a nutrient issue accompanied by pale sps and Lps. My options are:
1) do nothing and let it run its course and hope things improve.
2) run the UV to clear it up
3) run the UV and a poly pad
4) keep vacuuming the substrate while running a poly pad and the UV.
If it is indeed excessive nutrients then I have some kind of parodoxical situation going on here.

If you have a poly filter pad I'd have that on there Asap. The color it changes to may lead you in the right direction.

3) run the UV and a poly pad 4) keep vacuuming the substrate while running a poly pad and the UV. Put a poly pad in to see what it tells you, can't hurt. Don't vacuum the sand, that is stirring up your bacterial and disturbing them......which will cause a bloom.

I'm going to put a Poly Pad in the tank tomorrow. I think I have a plausible cause for the bacteria bloom... a couple of months ago i purchased some frozen cyclopeeze. I've been mixing PE miss, Hakari Brine / spirulina and 1/2 cube of cyclopeeze. I've been adding the cyclopeeze to feed the corals; however, my fish load has increased and I probably don't need to use it every day. I'm sure most of the cyclopeeze isn't being eaten and it must be going somewhere, maybe into the rocks, substrate and sump and is decomposing feeding the bacteria. Since my corals are pale the bacteria is processing the nutrients from the decomposing cyclopeeze at a faster rate than the corals and my bio filter can handle.
Bacteria is fed by excess nutrients that can't be handled by the bio filter... My tank is only five months old and it is stocked fairly well, maybe I went a little too fast and I'm not seeing some issues? The bacteria bloom is back tonight the same as it was almost two weeks ago, took about 48 hours without the UV on for it to come back to the same intensity.
I'm going to run the UV tonight to clear the tank, eliminate the cyclopeeze and add the poly filter tomorrow. I'll turn off the UV after I put the poly filter in and see if the bloom returns. The poly filter will turn brown if there are excessive organics in the water, which may be coming from the cyclopeeze. I'm going back to feeding strictly mysis and silicon while putting some seaweed on a veggie clip. I'm hoping I'm found the culprit.

Poly Pad is in, just fed the tank for the first time with only Mysis and Selcon. I placed half the poly pad over the two inch bulkhead that exists my sump to the return pump, there's 100% pass through the pad... Now I guess I just wait and hope for improvement?

Poly Pad has been in the tank for 24 hours and has turned a fairly light tan indicating organics. The UV has been off for 24 hours and the tank seems to be at the same place as it was before, a little cloudy tonight. Things really haven't changed, this is day 16 of this bacteria issue.
