I'm mixing my water for a water change...I don't have a reverses osmosis system... Use well water? I have a water filter and a water softener

It all depends on your well water. Some well water is fine, some is like piss.
I use my well water and it works fine for me, but not everyone has that option.

I'll have to go buy water until I know what's in my water. It's great drinking water but that don't mean much.

Bring a sample of your well water to the LFS and have them test it. You will be concerned with TDS, Nitrates, Phosphates, and Hardness. Have them do a full test on it.......that will give you a good idea of what you have for water.

I just had a water test done but I still think I'll buy water. Not worth any chance. I'll get a R/O system on Black Friday lol along with a bunch of stuff to keep stocked up

Where do you live? I would give you some RODI water if you were close to me. I also drive to Ellsworth daily and Bangor on the weekends. I'm sure others on here would do the same.

If your ammonia is zero and nitrites 2.0 then your cycle is almost complete. That's assuming your test kit is reading accurately. I would monitor your nitrates for now and not do any water changes until they stop going up and everything else stays at zero. As far as your Ro/Di you should contact someone that specializes in them and tell them the results of the water test you had done. They'll point you in the right direction. I'm on well water and 90%+ of what my Ro/Di removes is from my sediment filters. I barely ever go through Di resin.

Your fish are in trouble because you rushed and added fish before your cycle was complete. If I am not mistaken you posted in feedback that Jason at easy told you that is was to new for fish yet. My guess would be that the fish are stressed to the max and sick because of the cycle. Doing a water change at this point of the game will most likely prolong your cycle. Set up a small hospital tank ( which should have been done first anyways ), treat the fish as necessary, and let your cycle finish.
