oh come on thats not true. we have more electrical to our tanks then anything else in our houses. its when we dont follow our own guidlines that most trouble occurs. like hanging power strips looping cords up so the water doesnt drip down them. using cheap heaters or power strips.

I love the jokes keep them coming but was hoping for some useful info also from this thread on keeping diff things together. Like alot of places say dont keep more then one tang together (untrue). well how many people here have more then one together. prolly most of us. usually a hierarchy is established but they get along after. better introduced when young. but some things just dont work with others. like...........

Nah we like to live dangerously, I put one of those 4ft metal power strips right behind my tank positioned perfectly so any chance of any water dripping behind the tank in would strategically land on the power strip.

About 2 weeks ago my skimmer overflowed because I added some putty. I was crazy nervous my tank would get pissed off but things actually looked better! Lol wasn't a lot in the cup I had just changed and cleaned it out 2 days before. Skimmer overflow and coral bliss normally don't do together but that day they did.

A lot of "things that don't work together" are highly conditional. Someone mentioned multiple tangs. The (main) variables are as follows: - Size of tank - Landscaping of tank (or re-landscaping when introducing new tang) - Order/timing of introduction - General level of territorial-ness of specific species of tangs - Individual personalities of the tangs - Relative size of tangs - Degree of relatedness/similarity in color and body shape - Number of tangs (more can actually be better) - Other fish in the tank Most of the above can be managed to maximize the possibility for success. Most of the above applies to other genera as well (angels, triggers, damsels, blennys, etc.)
