I know you can use variable power supplies but I read on RC this morning that people use these... Nubee® PWM 12volt 2amp Inline PWM 12 Volt 2amp Dimmer for LED Strips with Dc Jack www.amazon.com/dp/B00D69CTI8/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_rbtnub0ZKA6FWAny experience or thoughts? They're a lot cheaper and you'd think they'd work fine. Only problem I could possibly see is they're 2 amp and output on my wp40 is 2.5 Sent from my SM-N900R4 using proboards

It's too control the power? I want to be able to turn down the flow in else mode. Unfortunately my pump didn't come wroth a variable power supply

By the time you invest in the dimmer and anything else, you could probably sell your jebao any buy a new rw-series for similar upgrade cost. Just a thought.

I don't want to upgrade at this time so I wanted to go the cheapest route. These are as cheap as 3$ on Amazon and like I already said there's other people using them and can control speed 0-100% You don't need anything else this is it. Plugs into the wire going to the control box and pump

I'd say give it a try then. I'm assuming if you've read about people using these then you must have heard the rumors that they can cause the pumps motors to burn out? I'm not sure how legit any of the rumors are but it's something to look into at least before you make any decisions.

Kinda weird because it allows less amps them the normal controller but I don't want to chance it. Maybe I'll see if anyone wants to add a wp40 so they can go dual. Even if I get the Rw20 I'll still be getting the variable power supply though. I love else mode Sent from my SM-N900R4 using proboards

I use else mode but with else an adjustable power supply is a must... or just run it off apex

I use else mode but with else an adjustable power supply is a must... or just run it off apex I sold my Apex and I run else mode all the time. It's just when the pump is freshly clean it is a lot more powerful. So I'd like the ability to dial it back. Sent from my SM-N900R4 using proboards

If you read up on this on reef central there are tons of people who have done this and have screwed up their controllers. If you go below a certain voltage it screws up the prom and the controller stops working. The correct way to do what you are trying to do is the adjustable power supply it will basically cut the power / flow in half.

Same exact one as fish Street sells.

Did you get one of the power supplies or one of the cheap cords with the potentiometer on it?
