The two outlet strip Gotareef is referring to has two outlets and also has two power cords going to it. One power cord goes to the controller power bar and acts as a signal to turn the heavy duty strip on and off. the second cord plugs into the wall outlet supplying the power to the HD power strip. Anyone have a link to this item? That sounds like a great way to protect your controller's power block, and only use 1 outlet from it for multiple heaters.

If it's just 2 power cords coming out of it, it should be able to work with any controller.
Is there a control wire that connects to the reefkeeper?

I found some better pictures of it online, looks like it will work with any controller on the market. The expansion plugs into an outlet, then the signal wire plugs into your outlet on your power bar of your controller.
$45 for it online.........have to keep it on the back burner for down the road if I need a couple of spots in my outlet bar.

Can you actually program them separately?

It doesn't look it, there is a 2-prong plug that goes to your relay box and triggers the outlets that draw their power from the plug on the back of the unit and is plugged into a normal wall outlet.

great find!
I think I would just use the coated clips on the wires instead of soldering every wire but great article
