I was using RSCP but the all levels are crazy high, I just started using Aquavitro Salinity.... Love the levels... 9.5dkh, 8.2 ph and 450CA... Haven't tested mag yet. They guarantee that the salt will mix within a certain range of parameters. Plus if you really like it they sell 1000gallon barrels for about $275.... That's cheaper than IO.

I used Tropic Marin BioActiv for 6 months. Then switched to IO Reef Crystals. Love the Reef Crystals!

Reef crystals or plain instant ocean is the way to go! Great levels on everything, it's super cheap and readily available just about everywhere.

what size tank? I use regular io on my 180g. io is inexpensive and what just about every aquarium or lobster place uses. on my 40g sps tank I spend about double the price of io and use esv it is the best out there for salt...

I started with the Reef Crystal and then switched to Aquavitro Salinity but for the price difference I think I am going back to RC.

I'm running Red Sea Coral Pro as well and still dosing the day after a water change. Personally, 9.5 is 3 points lower than I want to be and 450CA is 20 points lower.

I definitely agree with you on this. But everyone doesn't have a tank full of sps frags only. If your tank isn't stocked full of sps especially frags then your levels don't really need to be at cal 470 and dkh 9.8. Unless you just prefer it there.

My bucket is is mixing at 15dkh using a salifert test., way too high for my preference. I like to keep my dkh around 9. There are many ways to run a successful reef.
