I had a great time and met many awesome people. It was extremely busy and was like a black Friday coral sale. There were 10 classrooms each with at least 5 vendors one drove from Ohio. Prices varied pretty dramatically between retailers and hobbiest though more retailers had booths. The raffle prizes were fantastic my only complaint is I didn't win anything. Lots of representation from other clubs some with there own tanks. The drive from old town is 7 hrs one way!!! Definitely more than one days work. They had a lot of great vendors and I bought some reef suds soap its made right in Boston the guy was awesome and a very enthusiastic reefer. Jason Fox was present with a frag tank that's value probably surpassed the cost of an entry level car.
Fins Aquariums had some great corals at great prices but when the owner left his wife in charge she had a $10 sale....and that was amazing
R&R aquatics had a great selection and great prices they did some great package deals.
Pacific aquaculture was great with awesome selection and prices.
Finally what I'm bringing back to Maine...... ATL Appleberry Montipora (Google this gem been looking for one for 2 years) Now my ZOA binge Pink hippos Rainbow ridges Chong bongs Ko nightmares Kings ransom Pretty pennies Capt America play Chuckies bride play Rastas
And an Acan
I Know this post is useless without pictures!!! So please go to Son & Sand reef on Facebook....I'll be uploading pics there soon.

Well I'm finally home, dipped and acclimated all the Zoas many are opening up and looking great, I'm suprised to see a lot of smaller polyps on the frags too. My new pride and joy Appleberry has it's polyps out and came with a baby serpent starfish...I hope it grows 1/2 as fast as my other Montis I'm not disappointed. Hoping to get some sleep soon!

Put me down for a frag of the pink hippo palys and the KO nightmare. The Rastas had 7 polyps!!! The pretty penny's look more like mean green zoanthids but time will tell. I've heard the orange halo can fade so maybe it will come back. Everything is looking great and thanks again!!

Scoob, did you set up a table? If so, I'm curious to how you did as I may be interested in setting one up next year if I can stock pile some frags.

I didn't but there were easily over 1000 reefers there. I'd be interested in doing a group tank next year so we could also take turns seeing what else was there. Everyone had an acrylic frag tank. It was interesting there were a lot of things we have I expected to see and many things they had most were mid ranged $10 per polyp. I did not see any lunar eclipse, Mary James, utter chaos, blue agaves. The selection of sps was almost exclusively acros and montis no birds nest. I think as a group we'd do well also would want to carpool as the drive was long and I used about 30 gallons of gas round trip.
