So I was just at a local "pet store" and there was a clown in with the other Percs that was clearly a snowflake, or some other more expansive clown, I asked the guy give times if that was the correct price. So long story short I got a nice snowflake clown today for $19. I'll post a pic after he is aclimated

If he is a snowflake he is an interesting one to say the least. I love clowns that don't meet a certain criteria. Unique is the name of the game for me when it comes to clowns.

Not all clowns that look different are expensive though. I've seen a true perc misbar clown at pet co in topsham for $8.00 and normal misbar clowns are only like $12.00. That being said I looked on ora and the picture that looked the closest was the snowflake, but still different. Idk? It looks like a cross between a true perc and a snowflake?? With the face of a saddle back.lol Snowflakes are normally ocellaris clown fish? So someone else will have to chime in and let us know where were wrong. Ryan? Attachments:

Ya I know it's not a true snowflake, the pattern isn't completely correct, but it is definatly a neat pattern

For sure no doubt about it! Love the fish it's a great score and if it was a true perc / snowflake ocellaris /saddle back cross breed It could be a really special find. But I'm sure once people wake up someone will tell us exactly what it is and how wrong I am! at least I'm not in denial! Lol All I know is if you divide the fish into sections they all look like a different clown fish Tail end: true perc? Middle: snowflake? Face: saddle back You got it at pet co right? Looks a little skinny so once you fatten him up I'm sure his face will stop looking like a saddle back. I maybe the only one that sees it anyways.

It does happen. I don't know my clownfish but when I was looking for one I went to one of the big name pet stores. My wife and daughter spotted a black and white clownfish with an orange face alone in one of the top tanks that they liked. It wasn't striped; it had a white pattern of some sort. We asked the salesperson if it was the expensive snowflake or a cheaper black and white clown and the gentlemen obviously did not know either. The salesperson said it had been there forever and that he could "make it" the cheaper one and give it to us at the $40 price instead of the $90. I opted not to but my wife was convinced I turned down a steal.
