I used to keep a long spine with no issues except the broken spines all over the tank. I think I am going to buy the next blue tuxedo I see

Tuxedo urchins are great. They eat small amounts of coralline algae but nothing major. I had two in my tank up till the ice storm.

I have a small tuxedo urchin in my tank that constantly munches on the glass and rocks. I have heard that some can be a bulldozer towards corals but I havent had any problems with mine.

The best part of having an urchin is trying to guess what he'll be wearing tomorrow.

Thanks. I don't think a long spine will fit well in a 30 gal tank:)

I forget the species I had but I personally thought it was more of a hassle than the little guy was worth. Bull in a China shop.

same here tuxedos can get pretty big and knocks everything over pulls off all the macro algae growing eats off your colorful Coraline algae.he now resides in the refugium they are great for eating algae but are more a pain then they are worth.

its too bad cuz they are really cool but all the frags get mowed over and landing upside down every day. goes right over the curlyq anemone ripping off and taking half the tentacles with it seemingly immune to the sting

the onlything I have to worry about moving frags is my sand sifting starfish. Ive had it for nearly 10 years and it very big now
