Wow I can't believe this forum has grown so fast and so large since it was started. What really amazes me is I've met or traded with and bought or sold from the vast majority of everyone on here. Happy reefing everybody!

It would grow faster if we could promote it on Reef Central and the other big forums. I'm sure there are many many people from Maine that are on those forums and have no idea about this one. Even Boston Reefers would be a good one since it's close and I see people from Maine on there all the time.

There is allot of people that don't know about this forum but that numbers changing and we'll continue to grow in numbers.
As long as we tell others and let them know this forum is about reefing and fragging and the common interests In between.
Allot of people already know about it but don't know anything about forums I know because I was like that at first. But know look at me! Can't shut me up!

Yeah, there were only 50-60 members when I joined! You were the one who led me here Ryan and I know wherever I go I tell EVERYONE who has a saltwater tank about us. I think this forum is fantastic and I wouldnt be where im at with my tank if I didnt start HERE with all of you!

One thing to be aware of is I actually looked for a forum a few months ago and didn't find this site. I googled "Maine saltwater aquarium forum" and this site doesn't come up. My next step was Reefcentral. I found out about it because I asked the guy at Petco in S. Portland if he knew of a forum. I'm not sure how to change the fact that it doesn't show up on a google search unless you search 'frag swap'.

Maybe if all of us who go to the other forums put a link in our signatures, that would be free promotion.
With Google it's about tags or something, keywords. If we could get all the right tags, that would make it much easier to find thru search engines.

I'm amazed at how many people Ive sold coral to on craigslist didn't know.....now my frags don't even make it to craigslist you guys gobble them up so fast....its a great problem to have everyone I've done business with on this forum has been fantastic the fish talk is great and its always an experience to see someone else's tank for the first time.

He's totally supportive of helping to promote us and get people more involved Sent from my HTC ONE Jess we can do that as well if you want to drop some cards off next time you come for a visit. Also we are now sponsors over at BRS and starting to have more interaction with some of their members, especially ones in the NH area. I usually try to remember to mention the the forums that we are associated with and have brought this forum up many times. It is a great group here and I am happy to be a part of it. The handful of people that I have met or dealt with here have been fantastic and look forward to meeting more of you in the future. Also if Christian doesn't mind I can put a spot on my website that states I am associated with Maine Frag Swap and post a link to the forums, to try to produce some more traffic on the forum for you. |

I can look into some cards, I remember that I got some for free, only had to pay shipping, when I had planned on starting my buisness a couple years ago.

They have salt water fish backgrounds at Vista print. They may cost a couple extra bucks but I'd throw in a few bucks to get them if they're still doing the deal?

Isnt it mainefragswap.proboards.com? not @? I also think maybe we could say something about "no drama or drama free." Ive seen it in a lot of forums and this honestly is the one place where I dont feel like its a constant issue. (not saying its never happened BUT its pretty scarce and we try to avoid it as much as poss) maybe something about "where opinions are encouraged" maybe? Just a few thoughts  |
