so I bit the bullet and I bought a new tank www.coralcollection.net/product/40-gallon-starfire-rimless-aquarium 40g rimless starfire 24"x18"x20" with high volume over flow. 3 camber glass sump w/refugium light upgraded to sca-302 180g skimmer w/ph2500 needle wheel pump and large collection cup (I think I will be selling this and using an asm mini-g?? or build a new sump and sell the mini-g with sump??) upgraded to ph3200 return pump black cabinet with dual opening door I have 120w led fixture, 2fishies reactor and will be ordering a couple Auqa Gadget Spin Stream's I should have everything else to have this running as soon as I get it !!! BTW- I plan on this being a bare bottom sps setup with my black and phantom clown

I have to admit this is the first build that's made me jealous! I love these tanks, starfire glass and they come with everything you need to get started pretty much! If you build a sump to go with one of those skimmers I have a brand new 20L if your interested? Wouldn't want much for it and I'd take a trade.

20g is to long, this tank is 24" and a 20 long is 30" I would have to build one from scratch. (but I can do that) I got a good deal on it as well! I ordered it off am ebay store, I sent them a message and asked how much.... they quoted me $500 shipped. then i got them to upgrade the skimmer and return pump, and got them to throw the fefugiem light in got the tracking # last night and tank should be here on the 6th!!!! I am very exited, this is only the 3rd NEW tank I have ever bought....

so water has been in the tank for a few days now. the only thing I dont like about this tank is the overflow is loud! I am going to have to build a new drainpipe or mod this one. anyone have a megaflow pipe sitting around?
also with this tank being for sps I decided to use a different salt, E.S.V. B-Ionic. it is expensive but for a small tank it shouldnt be to hard on the wallet

What is the current configuration of the drain? It will get quieter once the slime coat builds up? Post a picture of the overflow box from the front, one from above, and the line down to the sump.
