The lighting upgrade will be done once enough funds are raised. With any luck we will reach our goal before the end of the year!! I have 25-30 frags that will be going to this tank and I'm sure over the next month or so that number will grow!

That's awesome, I would hope that they would be excited to see the tank once it's lighting has been upgraded and it has some beautiful corals in it! Any idea as to when it was donated?? I don't remember it from when my mother was being treated at Gibson Pavilion in 2002. She was only there for about two months before she passed away so I didn't go up there after Sep. 16th, 2002.... It really was by chance that I had seen the tank last Friday.... I had to visit the "clean room" up there to have my Picc line put in.

I wish I had a giant frag system so I could donate 20 frags to help them out. I was only asking because I'd like to help out with a donation but times are tough with 2 kids around Christmas. So I was aiming for after the holidays

This is the least I could do... I have informed Sue of your update and she is super excited to see this project through and requested to be updated when the full upgrade has been completed so she can see the finished touches

We're so very thankful, as of Thanksgiving afternoon we've raised $685.00 toward the upgrade of the aquarium at Maine Medical Center's Gibson Pavilion! We would love to see some $5 and $10 donations today! Please feel free to leave a comment when you donate. It would be wonderful if people would like to donate to the cause in the name of those special people who didn't make it to the Thanksgiving table this year because they lost their battle with cancer. Those dealing with this awful disease are really who we're trying to bring comfort to!

donated, I hope everyone donates to this cause. As someone who interacts with the patients on this floor I can attest the the joy that they get looking at this fish tank and how much it can cheer someone with a poor prognosis up. Please donate, every dollar helps
