Here is my tank, first added live rock early 5/2013, added clean up crew a month later, and today. 110 gallon, 135 lbs Fiji Totoka live rock with deep sand bed, Maxspect Razor lighting.

110 is a great size if you can only get 4' like me. I LOVE the height. Good luck, please post pics when it's running.

How did you put your rock work together?

It's Fiji Totoka...it is the best stacking rock out there. It's basically dead SPS, lots of fingers, they interlock very nice.

Finally got a good pic of my sun coral tonight. The one dead head you see was like that when I got it 2 months ago, it seems to be doing good. I wish I knew how much work they were when I got it.

They are tough to keep. Have you got it feeding during the day?

It opens early evening, has been open wider and more often since I moved it to higher flow. I feed under a cut off soda bottle a few times a week (cyclop-eeze).

If it needs a home, all Jess first, she had some dendros that were a lot like these that she lost in a move Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using proboards

If it needs a home, all Jess first, she had some dendros that were a lot like these that she lost in a move I'll keep that in mind, but currently it's the wife's favorite coral (she also picked it out specifically). Personally, I should of gotten dendros from Cultivated Reef.

I would LOVE a frag if you decide to cut it or even sell it. I lost my whole colony and loved them. They are one of my favorite corals I got mine to feed during the day after a while. I shut off all flow and then just put a bit of mysis juice bass them. If they are hungry they WILL come out to feed. Keep your flow of for at least 30 minutes. I tried the soda bottle method, I found it disturbed them more then anything and went with the free feed method. When they are fully out you can very gently target feed them. They may retract at first but after a while they should come around

I know dendros and Sun corals are very similar in looks but is there differences in them in feeding habits and care? Always loved the look of Sun corals but haven't dared to get one yet because of all the things you guys are talking about. Am I wrong? Are they the same coral different name?

Sun corals in my opinion are harder to keep. They are very sensitive to stress. I had both and lost both between tank moves and then my tank crashing from am unknown ammonia spike reason. You have to dedicate exclusive feeding to them at least once a week.
