So walking through Wal-Mart this weekend and in the Clarence section and I found this soap dish.the first thing that popped in my head was frag rack. Works great suction cups ate awesome barley pull them off holes are a little small for frag plug but that nothing a drill can't quickly fix!;D and I also liked it cause it's raised so if I have something that's healing it wool block the current. I'm sure I'm not the first to do it but figured I'd share anyways

as of right now the suction cups are working great!!! I had a hard time to pull them off. but the wife can get these really strong magnets so I'll probably switch them out soon.

Lol, I remember someone posted that a year ago. We all think about our tanks when we see something that could be useful even if its not tank related. I made my frag rack out of an old mag algae cleaner and some egg crate

Also was wondering if everyone has heard of these magnetic frag discs?? I saw them and thought they were a great idea.you can put the frag on the disc and magnet it anywhere in your glass or overflow! Or I read a review and the person said they put one disc inlaid into live rock with frag on the other and stick it on! You can rotate it when it grows out if it's getting to close to other frags and if you inlay a few mag discs around your tank you can move things around very easily! They sell all kinds of frag discs and plugs every style and size at a good price I think? www.oceanswonders.com/catalog/item/5617791/5520823.htmSent from my SCH-R530U using proboards Attachments:

Easy aquariums has Black eggcrate. Also, make sure you seal those magnets your wife can get. i used some Rare earth magnets to make my rack, and just covered the magnets with a thin sheet of plastic, then silicone to seal them off.

That was a sweet, fairly easy frag rack no matter where it was posted from.
Is there any benefit to black egg crate over white, besides aesthetics?

Thanks, jasonandsarah! That photo was of my first frag tank.... it made it's way on to CL. I've seen the photo on a number of pages...... it's not even that good of a photo. It's CL quality, at best...lol

I love the idea of the staircase frag rack, different levels for different lighting needs. And it looks cool. Even cooler if it was full of frags:)
