lol, I kinda figured it might have been a typo. Yea it very well could be just precipitating out. Any signs of precipitation anywhere or on anything yet? Seems really weird though. Hopefully when you do get your mag test it will give you a better idea of whats going on.

Finally got my Mg test. Tested last night, the Alk is still nosediving, PH dropped as well PH 7.8 Calcium 500 Alk 3.8 SG 1.024 PO4 0 NO3 0 Mg 1275 Temp 78.6
Mg is a little low. I added 15ml of Brightwell's Reef CODE B (Alk buffer), the tank turned foggy as I poured it in and then clear I got a few white clouds floating on the top. Did I just cause my cal to parcipatate out of the system or should the water go foggy when adding? It also says not to use if Mg is below 1290 but it was only 15 off so I thought I could justify it. Should I mix this with Water to dilute it first? It says 5ml per 10 gallons every other day until target Alk is reached I just want to bring it up to like 7-8 at this point. Any ideas advice?

That Alk reading still seems really weird to me. I've had three 200gal mix boxes now measuring our at 10.5- 11 DKH which keeps my tank water around 9DKH. Hopefully you get it figured out.

Tested Alk after dosing it's up to 5 that's an increase of 1.2 a little more than I wanted to change it in a short time. I'm dropping the dose to 8ml every other day should increase .5ish per dose until I reach 7 or higher, then I'm going to work on maintaining it around 7-8 for now.

Possible conclusion: caulastrea drinks alk? So I moved my mother Colony of Caulastrea to my 30xh the tank that I have all the previous water tests posted from and alk dropped like mad. Meanwhile in my Nano I have not used any supplements and just doing water changes my Alk has increased which is what I predicted should happen as I/O has a higher Alk than my tanks water. My 30xh has 2 colonies of Caulastrea with 50+ heads, the Nano meanwhile has a colony of 7 heads. I know the ratio of Alk to Cal is said be higher and this is probably my most successful and fastest growing coral I find it interesting that Ca is still rather high but slowly dropping since the salt change..It's dropping a little faster in the Nano thanks to my new birds nest from gotareef. If I'm dead wrong and someone knows something I don't and this is all just a coincidence then I'd love to hear your thoughts.
