Thanks Ryan. It is flat/matte black to prevent light scatter.

Thats basically 100 more than what you planned... I'd be not so nice to him. It would be 1 thing if you guys previously had discussed the Labor but he quoted you like 80 bucks and now wants 20 dollars more than that just for labor? So pretty much the labor cost 20 dollars more than the tank itself. I'd be having a fit

Yeah I reasoned with him and he is taking 100 so not all that bad in the end for 22 sqft of 1/4" glass cut to a 1/32" tolerance. He ground a few of the corners of the baffles too so that they fit up nice against the inner/bottom seam of silicon

That seems fair on both ends. I'm glad you werent stuck paying the full price and that he reasoned with you!

Oookay! Finished! Spent the vast majority of my spring break piecing it all together and i am soo very happy im done. Simply exhausted. Had to modify the deep blue overflow box. In that i got rid of the screws for it. Flipped its adjustable gate upside down and siliconed it in place. I have the DC Diablo 5500 on setting 5 of 6 and that along with my tunze 6025 produce tremendous turbulent flow. Took a while to fill the RO reservoirs but i dont think ill be filling them for a few weeks at least Ive got an old 12v 0.41a pc fan powered at 0.3a and it is loud and flows air across the room. Ill def be swapping that out soon. Got it turned off for now. On 3: With my old diy led: Need to try a bit of crushed coral on the left of fuge there. And make a light. Thinking id like left third to be in the 15kish and right 2/3 to be 6500kish: Front ball valve hooks to mj1200 to fill reservoirs. Ball valve in rear will hook to a 1/2" gate valve for reactor in return chamber: Still needs spar varnish, door handles, new light, more rock and MORE CRITTERS! haha

Thanks! It was a ton of work. I was fortunate to have a buddy of mine stay for the weekend and give me a hand putting it all together. I did have a fish die though. I was planning on removing all of the rock and most of the water into a barrel. Then scoop up the fish after. I couldn't find the purple firefish so i assumed that he hanging out in a rock that i had already put in the barrel. The same thing happened when putting all of the rock and water back in the display. No firefish. Next day i move the rock around a bit to place some coral etc and there was the firefish laying contorted and dead under a large piece of rock. It was in a hole the rock that was placed down on top of the sand. So it was essentially trapped and likely suffocated...pretty shitty but what can ya do.
